The Schoolhouse
In 1991 the Dzogchen Community purchased a vacant grammar school building in Conway, Massachusetts, now affectionately called the 'Yellow Schoolhouse'. This facility houses the American headquarters of the International Shang Shung Institute of America , A.S.I.A. , and the administrative offices of Tsegyalgar East, which are branches of three international organizations founded by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. It is also home to the International Dzogchen Community newspaper, The Mirror .
The Yellow Schoolhouse has a large practice space, or gonpa, which is one of the places Rinpoche teaches when he visits. The gonpa also hosts regular sessions and retreats of Yantra Yoga, Vajra Dance, and collective practices.
Other facilities include a library and archive, the Tsegyalgar Bookstore, and a dormitory, showers, and kitchen to accommodate guests. Meals may be provided onsite in our kitchen during retreats or classes. Please contact the Tsegyalgar Gekös to arrange for accommodations and meals.
